Volunteer Screening Requirements

To ensure a safe environment for all participants, Judo Saskatchewan requires that all individuals in positions of trust or authority (e.g., coaches, chaperones, officials, volunteers) undergo a security clearance through One Badge, our background service check provider. All screening forms and criminal record checks will be completed through One Badge. Judo Saskatchewan will cover the fees associated with the screening process for all coaches and volunteers associated with Judo Sask events, i.e., club coaches will be covered, volunteers running weigh-ins at Sask Open or chaperoning at summer camp will be covered, club level volunteers are the responsibility of the club and will not be covered by Judo Saskatchewan.

How to Apply

To begin the screening process, please  send the following information to the screening officer, Warren Seib at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and he will create a One Badge profile for you.

Completing the One Badge screening process

  1. You will receive a username (FirstnameLastname, e.g., WarrenSeib) and temporary password (Password@123). You will require multifactor authentication to sign into your account and must create a new password when you first access your account.

  2. You will need to upload a photo of yourself to complete your profile, then your tasks should appear.

  3. Depending on the screening level required for the volunteer you will need to complete and upload some (or all) of the following. The forms can be found under the task section of your One Badge account.

    1. Screening Application form

    2. Screening Disclosure form

    3. Screening Renewal form

    4. Respect in Sport

    5. Vulnerable Sector check

    6. Mobile Identification Verification (to facilitate an enhanced police information check)

  4. After uploading all the relevant information the screening officer will review the file to ensure it complies with Judo Saskatchewan’s screening requirements and your account will be approved, denied, or the screening committee will ask for additional information.
